Dr. Edwin van der Werf is Assistant Professor of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at Wageningen University, the Netherlands. He holds a MSc. in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a PhD in Economics from Tilburg University (CentER, 2008). Edwin is a CESifo Research Network Fellow since 2008. He has worked at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW; Germany), the University of Oldenburg (Germany) and at PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency. His research focuses on the economics of climate change and the effect of climate policy and climate policy instruments on greenhouse gas emissions and the economy. He is especially interested in the role of technological change and in the supply behaviour of fossil fuel resource stocks.
