Emmie Oliver is a Research Analyst II with the Cities4Forests and Natural Infrastructure teams at WRI, where she works with multilateral institutions, utilities, cities, and NGOs to develop strategies to design and implement economically, environmentally, and socially beneficial Nature-based Solutions (NBS) projects. Her work has centered on has partnering with multilateral development banks to craft strategies for increased adoption of NBS and ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) in their portfolios. She also has co-authored several issue briefs on the status and priorities of NBS adoption in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Prior to joining WRI, Emmie served as a Peace Corps Volunteer focusing on agroforestry in Paraguay. Emmie holds a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Sewanee: the University of the South.
