Eshita Gupta holds undergraduate and masters degrees in Economics from Hansraj College (Delhi University) and Delhi School of Economics respectively and she completed her PhD from the Indian Statistical Institue, Delhi. Her main research interests include energy and environmental economics, development economics and applied econometrics. Her recent research studies the impact of climate change on food prices, poverty and electricity demand in India. She is the author of many published papers and book chapters. Her recent research has been published in the Journal of Energy Economics, Energy Policy and the books published by Routledge. She is also a part of the consultancy project commissioned by the Central Electricity Authority of India to forecast electricity demand in India.
