Fernando Santiago

Fernando Santiago is Industrial Policy Officer at the Department of Policy Research and Statistics (PRS) of UNIDO.

He specializes in the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies and programs as they relate to industrial development. Throughout his professional career he has earned relevant experience in government, academic, international development and private consulting organizations in Mexico and Canada. He has conducted fieldwork in Latin America, Africa and Asia. His publications cover topics related to science, technology and innovation policy, the management of human resources for R&D, linkages academia-industry and industrial policy.
