
Himanshu Sharma is a Senior Sustainable Finance Advisor at the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), where he leads work on aligning public finance, economic policy, and investments with climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development goals. He managed the Green Fiscal Policy Network and directs UNEP’s finance and economic transformation strategy, supporting Ministries of Finance and financial institutions globally. Himanshu serves as lead coordinator for the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action’s flagship guide, and as a technical advisor on the ASEAN Mitigation Co-Benefit and Adaptation for Resilience (mARs) Guide. Prior to UNEP, he worked with CNRS France, the World Bank, OECD, and Business at OECD on economic policy, financial regulation, and environment. Himanshu holds a dual MPA from LSE and Sciences Po Paris, and an MBA in International Business from BIMTECH.
