Koeun Lee

Koeun is a thematic facilitator of the Green Economy and Resources Working Group of the Children and Youth Major Group (CYMG) to UNEP. At CYMG, Koeun helps gather youth perspectives on topical areas such as just energy transition, equitable critical minerals governance, sustainable agriculture, and plastic pollution; and bring them to the tables of various MEA processes at UNEP and beyond. At CYMG, Koeun is passionate about detailing what "youth perspectives" actually mean, reflecting on the diverse geographical, cultural, and social backgrounds that CYMG members bring in.

Koeun is also a professional in environmental policy, specialising in industry solutions for the circular economy transition. She has previously worked with UNEP and UNDP. She is currently working with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) to implement circular value chain solutions for electronics and e-waste management.
