Pernille Holtedahl is an environmental economist and the founder of Blue Maia, a green finance advisory firm.
Her current primary research interest lies in natural capital and conservation finance design; particularly in how to monetise environmental benefits and increase the level of private investments in conservation. She has over the years gained extensive experience in climate finance and is an expert in creating and assessing frameworks for green bonds. Pernille also evaluates and provides strategic advice to environmental organisations, particularly in the forest and land-use sector.
She has worked and travelled extensively internationally and currently lives in London. She is on the board of Thamesbank Credit Union and an advisory board member of the Hawthorn Club.
Pernille has a Ph.D. in environmental and natural resource economics from the George Washington University and over 20 years of experience undertaking analysis for private and public-sector clients in the areas of environment, energy, and sustainable development.
