Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the Philippine economy. They make up 99.5 percent of business establishments in the country, provide 63 percent of employment to the Philippine workforce, and contribute about 40 percent to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) . However, MSMEs are one of the most vulnerable groups whose business operations have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of UNDP's global effort to support countries design effective strategies and programs to recover from the COVID-19 crisis, UNDP Philippines conducted a rapid response survey for MSMEs to capture the experiences, behavior, and perceptions of the MSMEs as they cope, respond, and adapt to the supply shocks in the value chain due to the enhanced community quarantine.
