Asian Development Bank (ADB) initiated a technical assistance project, Supporting Implementation of Environment-Related SDGs in Asia and the Pacific, in 2017 to help policymakers integrate SDGs 12, 14, and 15—and other selected targets that are environment-related—in their countries’ development plans, policies, and programs, including those for investment. The project aims to understand and help developing countries address the issues and challenges behind their effective integration and to build capacities to strengthen policy-making and implementation of the environmental dimensions of the SDGs, including identifying and leveraging new sources of finance, and enhancing monitoring and reporting systems.

This report presents the results and findings of the technical assistance project’s regional stocktake on national responses to SDGs 12, 14, and 15 in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mongolia, Nepal, the Philippines, Samoa, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, and Viet Nam.  In addition to this report, the project has also prepared jointly with UNDP–UNEP Poverty-Environment Action, Strengthening the Environmental Dimensions of the SDGs in Asia and the Pacific: Tool Compendium, an inventory of tools for policy makers with special emphasis on SDGs 12, 14, and 15.
