On 24 June 2020 at 13:00 (CEST), the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) is hosting an online workshop on "The Economic Impacts of Air Pollution and the Implications for Policy".
The objective of this one-day pre-conference workshop is to bring together leading experts from academia and policymaking to explore the frontiers of research on the economic impacts of air pollution and their implications for policy. In particular, the workshop will bring together experts from the empirical and modelling community, in order to understand how empirical studies can best feed into modelling exercises.
The workshop will focus on a number of broad guiding questions:
- What are the health impacts of air pollution?
- What are the socio-economic impacts of air pollution?
- What are the challenges in designing effective and publicly acceptable air quality policies and regulations?
