On 3-4 March 2021, UNFCCC, UNDP, UNEP, and the World Bank Group are hosting "Regional Climate Weeks 2021: Virtual Regional Roundtables".
The Regional Climate Weeks 2021 will kick-off with “Virtual Regional Roundtables” for all regions holding climate weeks in 2021 - Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean. These roundtables will set the scene in terms of regional priorities, challenges, and opportunities for climate action.
The aim of the Regional Virtual Roundtables is to listen and engage in an interactive and inclusive dialogue with Parties and non-Party stakeholders from the region on their priorities and needs in relation to the 3 thematic tracks of the Regional Climate Weeks to lay the ground for the rest of the year, while building momentum and ensuring results-oriented and high-impact sessions for accelerating transformational action and implementation.
The three thematic tracks are:
- National actions and economy wide approaches
- Managing climate risks
- Seizing transformation opportunities
