The science is unequivocal: stabilizing climate change entails reducing net emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) to zero by the end of the century. Significant gaps exist in our current understanding of the trade-offs between green growth policies and international competitiveness. Fears that implementing green growth measures will lower the competitiveness of domestic industries can deter governments from adopting meaningful policies.

The collaborative project on low carbon development for China and India seeks to support policy development by facilitating south-south cooperation, by sharing relevant knowledge and building capacities.
