On 9-10 April 2025 (09:00-17:00 CEST), the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) will hold a workshop to explore the link between bioenergy, innovation and equity in Europe’s green transition.
With the European Green Deal driving efforts to reach climate neutrality, bioenergy is playing a growing role not just in reducing emissions, but also in promoting rural development and supporting the circular economy.
This workshop will look at how new technologies in bioenergy, such as advanced biofuels and sustainable biomass, can contribute to these goals while also addressing social, environmental, and gender-related challenges. The event will bring together voices from different disciplines to discuss policy ideas and strategies that can help make bioenergy a strong, equitable part of Europe’s future green economy.
