The Seventh Green Growth Knowledge Platform Annual Conference will take place on 21-22 October 2019 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and is being hosted by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in the context of Global Green Growth Week 2019 (GGGW2019), which will take place on 21-25 October 2019. It is also being held in conjunction with the 2019 International Renewable Energy Conference, co-hosted by REN21 and the Government of Korea on 23-25 October 2019 (KIREC).

In April 2019, a Call for Papers was issued on key challenges, insights, and innovations and solutions for dramatically scaling up sustainable energy was been issued by the GGKP and managing partners—the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the World Bank—on topics including Policy and Market Design; Finance and Investment; Technology and Innovation; Cities and Industries; and Social Inclusion, Equity, and Environmental Sustainability.
