The Global Trust Fund on Sustainable Finance Instruments is a 4-year program funded by the government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg through its Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Ministry of Finance, through a contribution of €5 million. The Trust Fund aims to mobilize finance for green investments in emerging economies through green bonds and sustainable financial instruments. The program focuses on thematic bond capacity building and institutional strengthening in the target countries. Expected results include the creation of more than 400,000 jobs, improved climate resilience for more than 2 million vulnerable people and a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
