The inaugural conference on the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) will be held in the United Arab Emirates from 4-5 March 2014. PAGE is a joint initiative by UNEP, ILO, UNIDO and UNITAR to provide comprehensive assistance to countries seeking to develop and implement inclusive green economy strategies.

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), since 2001, annually organizes the DSDS, an international platform to facilitate the exchange of knowledge on all aspects of sustainable development. Over the past thirteen years, it has emerged as one of the foremost fora on issues of global sustainability. This flagship event of TERI brings together various Heads of State and Government, thought leaders, policy makers and the crème de la crème of industry and academia to deliberate on myriad issues.

The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) aims to advance gender-equitable and socially-inclusive climate-resilient action by mobilising knowledge-into-action, capacity and Southern climate leadership from local to global levels. It works with the public, private and non-governmental sectors in support of locally-owned and -led climate-resilient action.

The Beijing Normal University School of Economics and Resource Management, founded in 2001 is a postgraduate institute of Beijing Normal University (BNU) focusing on scientific research and talent training, with a faculty and staff team of more than 40. The school is committed to research on domestic and international economic development, resource management and other related fields, with the research priorities centering on economics, innovation, sustainable development and green development.

EGGPAL, or the Economics of Green Growth Peer-Assisted Learning Network, is a newly-established regional network for peer-to-peer learning and technical cooperation among senior technical specialists from governments in Europe and Central Asia on the economics of green growth and climate change.

The GGKP organized a number of events at the 2013 Global Green Growth Summit, including a session on measuring progress on green growth and a side event on green growth knowledge management. The Global Green Growth Summit took place 10-11 June, 2013 in Songdo, South Korea.

Building Pathways to Greener Growth

Practitioners' Workshop

June 3-4, 2013

The Green Growth Knowlede Platform's first regional practitioner's workshop "Building Pathways to Greener Growth" was organized by the World Bank, in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The workshop was hosted by the Government of Indonesia. The workshop also benefited from collaboration with other GGKP partners.

The Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) held its inaugural conference, "Green Growth: Addressing the Knowledge Gaps," January 12-13, 2012, in Mexico City Mexico. The conference took stock of the current understanding of the economics of green growth; engaged researchers and practitioners in an ongoing dialogue to increase understanding of how green growth approaches can be applied in the field; identified knowledge gaps and established priorities for knowledge-building work and implementation; and launched follow-on efforts.

The second GGKP Annual Conference was held in Paris, France, from 4-5 April 2013. All research related to the conference can be downloaded under the Papers & Presentations tab.

The Conference discussions were framed around the following two headline themes: (i) greening global value chains and (ii) measurement and reporting for green growth.

The OECD will hold its 2013 Green Growth and Sustainable Development Forum December 5-6. This year’s Forum will discuss how governments can improve their investment policy framework to reduce the risk and attract long-term private finance in support of green growth. The Forum will include three plenary sessions on Day 1 and three break-out sessions on Day 2.
