Pacific Youth Turning the Tide on Plastics and Marine Litter
Puipaa, Samoa, 08 November 2022: The International Coastal Clean-up Day is the largest single ocean clean-up activity globally. Manned by volunteers from many walks of life, this year marked the 36th such annual event in Samoa and the first on-ground event of the Plastic Tide Turners Challenge (TTC) in the Pacific region.
On 10 November 2022 (10:00:11:00 (Egypt, UTC+2), GO4SDGS and SEED organise this Side Event during COP27. The Coalition aims at enabling SMEs, scaling-up and replicating their good practices, while providing a voice for SMEs and enhancing system-wide innovation and collective green climate action. The Coalition will focus on net-positive SMEs, concentrating on resources efficiency, decarbonisation, circular and nature positive innovations in key sectors: agri-food, textile, construction, waste and energy.
On 11 November 2022 (9:30-10:15 (Egypt, UTC+2), GO4SDGs, UNEPs Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean will organize this side event in collaboration with IDB, IDB Invest, ECLAC, and Circular Economy Coalition for Latin America and the Caribbean.
