The Fifth Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) Annual Conference was hosted by the World Bank on the topic of Sustainable Infrastructure. The conference took place at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington DC, from 27-28 November 2017. 

This Economist event will be the fourth World Ocean Summit, and will discuss how to finance a sustainable ocean economy, including consideration of the types of investment frameworks and capital necessary to bring the blue economy to scale.

The Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration will host the UN Bahamas Symposium on Implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Small Island Developing States (SIDS), on the theme of 'Equipping public institutions and mobilizing partners'.

The Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation (ICCA) at the University of Nairobi consists of a diversified team of experts and researchers drawn from across the University. Established in 2011, ICCA is dedicated to building the human capacity necessary to address the unique climate change adaptation needs of vulnerable communities.

This event is being organized by UNCTAD in partnership with the Ellen McArthur Foundation, which produced this pioneering report exploring circular economy opportunities for India. This occasion is for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to share their insights on this latest work. The international community, experts that have contributed to the report as well as other stakeholders from across public and private sectors are expected to attend. Speakers from the UN community as well as external speakers are also invited to share their reflections on the report.

Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires financing from all available sources. Resource-rich countries have an opportunity to raise significant public finances to support the SDGs from resource extraction. However, in some of these countries, the fiscal regime, governance structures and capacities affect the scale and use of revenues from the sector.

United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) works on environmental matters dates back to 1971, when the group of Senior Advisors to the UNECE Governments on environmental issues was created, which led to the establishment of the UNECE Committee on Environmental Policy (CEP) in 1994. As CEP meets annually, the Twenty-second Session of the Committee on Environmental Policy (CEP) will be held in Geneva.
