COP28 President-Designate urges G20 nations to lead the way and demonstrate solidarity on climate action

At COP28, GO4SDGs and partners will be demonstrating how public-private partnerships are tackling food loss and waste at scale around the world, as well as presenting the success stories from the Recipe of Change Campaign, focusing on behavioural change mainly in households and the hospitality sector.

As part of the Global Strategy for Sustainable Consumption and Production, a new flagship initiative, “Digitalization 4 Circular Economy” was initiated by the 10YFP Secretariat with the aim of developing and implementing a critical path for harnessing digital technologies and unleashing the full potential of a circular economy.

From 30 November to 12 December 2023, the UNFCCC will host COP28, where participants will reflect on the progress achieved in implementing climate pledges since the adoption of the Paris Agreement, and focus on solutions that must be scaled to limit warming to 1.5ºC.

The Regional Working Groups on food waste reduction aim to allow participating countries to design, fund, and implement strategies to measure food waste in their country and reduce the amount of food waste in their country so that they can achieve SDG12.3 and manage the food waste that does arise in the most sustainable way and appropriate to their circumstances.
