On 25 February 2021 at 1 pm CET, UNEP Education team in co-operation with the GO4SDGs initiative and the World Bank's Energy team under the ¨Disruptive Transition and Employment Opportunities¨ activity funded by ESMAP, is organising an event on "Connecting Sustainability Energy Businesses with Education: Getting the Workforce You Need".

On 1-2 February 2021, Barbados, the current president of the Forum of Ministers of Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) organised the XXII Meeting of the Forum in a virtual format. 

The XXII Meeting of the Forum aimed to address the pressing environmental issues of the region, opportunities for green recovery, and urgent actions for nature in the coming decade to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals.

On 17 and 18 March 2021, the Global Opportunities for Sustainable Development Goals (GO4SDGs) initiative is hosting the Sustainable Consumption and Production for a Resilient and Inclusive Recovery in Latin America and the Caribbean - GO4SDGS High level launching.

The Paris Agreement recommends that all Parties strive to formulate and communicate Long-term low greenhouse gas Emission Development Strategies (LEDS) by 2020 as part of the long-term response to climate change. To participate in the efforts of the international community to address climate change, the Government of the Republic of Korea decided to develop its LEDS.

On February 11, 2021 at 10:30 - 13:45 CET and February 12, 2021 at 10:00 - 13:45 CET, the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) is holding an event "Development challenges in Africa in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic".

On 1 February 2021, at 13:00-14:00 EST, the "High-level launching of the Latin America and the Caribbean Circular Economy Coalition" event will take place virtually, as part of the XXII Session of the Forum of Ministers of Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). In an interactive discussion, government representatives and partners will elaborate on circular economy as a key mechanism to build back better while contributing to the climate change, biodiversity and pollution prevention goals.

The expected outcomes of Bangladesh's National Action Plan on Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs) are to identify and implement the most cost­-effective pathways for large-scale implementation of SLCP mitigation measures. It aims to identify and implement further actions within the years 2010 and 2040.

The Climate Action Plan 2050 represents German’s decision to become a climate-neutral country. It describes how Germany’s national climate action goals can be achieved in line with the Paris Agreement. Areas of action include energy, buildings, transport, trade and industry, agriculture, and forestry.
