Annual Report

The GGKP is committed to tracking, measuring and analysing its efforts. Results are compiled annually and reported on through the GGKP's Annual Reports and Impact Reports. The Annual Report provides a comprehensive review of the GGKP's main activities and accomplishments and is published every two years. The Impact Report is a shorter version of the Annual Report, published in alternating years, which focuses on the measurement and analysis of the GGKP's main indicators of success.

The GGKP's Biennial Report covers the accomplishments of the partnership from 2022-2023. Some of the key highlights are GGKP’s workstream towards nature-positive economies and the launch of tools tailored for the SMEs and policymakers for finance. I-GO Assistant tool was established to provide SMEs with tailored resource-efficient and cleaner production guidance, and the Sustainable Finance Toolkit can help policymakers take coordinated approach to the development of a national sustainable finance roadmap

The GGKP's fifth Impact Report, published in 2022, outlines how the partnership has performed over the course of 2022, drawing together analytics and analysis across GGKP's three work areas - generating knowledge, managing knowledge and sharing knowledge. The highlights include the launch of the Sustainable Finance Diagnostic Toolkit, I-GO Assistant workshops, regional work on mainstreaming natural capital and broadening international reach through various partnerships and community including the GEF-funded Implementing Sustainable Low and Non-Chemical Development in Small Island States (ISLANDS) Programme.

The GGKP's Biennial Report covers the accomplishments of the partnership from 2020-2021. One of the main highlights is GGKP’s meaningful contributions to the global response to COVID-19 focusing on economic recovery: how to rescue and rebuild sustainably with an emphasis on inclusion and resource efficiency. Other key achievements include the launch of the Green Forum at the Fifth Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-5), designed to provide the community with an interactive space for discussion in the pursuit of sustainable economic transformation, and two new GGKP expert groups on gender and sustainable finance.

The GGKP's fourth Impact Report, published in 2021, outlines how the partnership has performed over the course of the year, focusing on the GGKP’s main indicators of success. Drawing together analytics and analysis across the GGKP’s three work areas—generating knowledge, managing knowledge and sharing knowledge—the report provides a concise evaluation of the partnership’s impact. Highlights from 2020 include the launch of the Green Learning Network and Green Finance Measure Database update, as well as the creation of “+Platforms” that provide partner initiatives with dedicated websites in the GGKP knowledge management ecosystem.

The GGKP's Biennial Report covers the accomplishments of the partnership from 2018-2019. One of the main highlights is the launch of the Green Finance Platform and Green Industry Platform that provide the financial and private sectors with the latest research, data, guidance and tools from leading experts and institutions to help green their operations. Other key achievements include the Seventh GGKP Annual Conference; Green National Documents Database; the Natural Capital Expert Group’s major strides towards mainstreaming natural capital in green growth; and a high-level media debate, entitled  “What is Wealth?”.

The GGKP's third Impact Report, published in 2019, outlines how the GGKP is tracking and measuring the impact of its activities. The data included in the report was gathered through web analytics and social media analysis. The report outlines how the GGKP measures its impact and provides detailed report of the GGKP's three workstreams: generating, managing and sharing knowledge. The achievements included the Sixth GGKP Annual Conference with 30 research papers highlighted, hosted by the OECD in November 2018; the launch of new GGKP database on National Documents; and new records for GGKP website usage with 84% user increase.

Prominent achievements include the launch of the Green Growth Expert Connect service; two new global databases (BIG-E and Case Studies); two new expert working groups on natural capital and sustainable infrastructure; the Fifth GGKP Annual Conference, held in November 2017 Washington, DC; and a high-level media debate, entitled “Whose Prosperity? How Can We Build Inclusive and Sustainable Economies?”.

Prominent achievements included the launch of new GGKP research committees; the Fourth GGKP Annual Conference, held in September 2016 on Jeju Island, Republic of Korea; and the growth of the GGKP’s knowledge sharing activities; expansion of social media; and new records for GGKP website usage.

The GGKP's second Annual Report covers the two-year period, 2014-2015, during which the GGKP witnessed a number of important achievements. Prominent achievements included the launch of the GGKP web platform (www.greengrowthknowledge.org); the launch of the GGKP research committees on trade and competitiveness, technology and innovation, indicators and metrics, fiscal instruments, inclusiveness, behavioural insights, and law; the Third GGKP Annual Conference held in January 2015, in Venice, Italy; and the growth of the GGKP’s knowledge sharing activities, including through social media, the GGKP Insights blog, and the GGKP's "Green Growth Webinar Series".

Covering the period 2012 and 2013, the report provides an overview of the GGKP’s background and mission, including details on governance and partners. This is followed by a detailed description of the GGKP’s main activities, structured according to its work strategy: generating, managing and sharing knowledge. Information on the GGKP’s affiliated programmes and joint financial statement are also presented.

The GGKP’s first Annual Report was published in 2014 and sets out the results of GGKP’s efforts to promote organizational collaboration, identify and address green growth knowledge gaps, promote knowledge sharing, and stimulate the development of a vibrant green growth community of practice.
